Relax | Explore | Experience

The Attic is a cosy, self-contained studio for 2 adults designed to help you relax and unwind – curling up by the wood burning stove or enjoying the rural views. It is also a great base for exploring and adventuring.

The Attic has a private wood burning hot tub. We provide enough logs for one night’s use. You can bring your own extra logs or buy more from us. We will explain how to use the hot tub – it takes about 3 hours to be hot for use.

We provide fresh baked sourdough bread, eggs from our chickens, butter milk, tea & coffee. Breakfast meat or BBQ meat bundles, cheese or antipasti board and picnic lunches are available upon request.

We are passionate about providing an eco-friendly experience for you – with organic and locally sourced products and food wherever possible.

The Attic is available from £110 per night with a minimum two-night stay.

Please contact us to book. The calendar is an indication of availability but not definitive!

The Attic is a self-contained studio within Aikenhead House – a unique country house and small-holding 3 miles from Blairgowrie. A perfect romantic, peaceful getaway.

The Attic has a super kingsize bed (or two single beds), seating area, woodburning stove, kitchen and upstairs loo with additional private shower facilities downstairs.

Views from The Attic to both the east and west allow you to enjoy the sunrise and sunset.

Guests will have access to The Attic, boot room, kit and equipment washing areas and a drying room. You are also welcome to wander round the small-holding (but please shut gates if you visit the animals!).

We have additional accommodation for groups if required – with a large sitting room and dining room to use together – please contact us for more information.

We are both more than happy to socialise – but equally can just be on call if needed.
Adam is based at the house.

Rosie is a walk and cycle leader and a passionate wild swimmer and is happy to organise activities for guests or give maps for adventures. We can also arrange kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, bike hire (road or mountain) and other local activities.

We are developing an organic vegetable garden and planning to become as self-sufficient as possible and are happy to show you our plans and developments.

Dogs are welcome and can stay in The Attic or in the boot room downstairs.

We ask you to keep dogs off the furniture. A cage is available to use if requested.

Dogs MUST be kept on a lead outside as we have free range chickens and other animals.

We ask for dogs not to be left unattended in The Attic.

Please check with us before you feed anything to the animals – they do enjoy treats but the wrong type of food could make them ill.
